EFI Agro was among nine leading Ukrainian food exporters who were the first to represent Ukraine on this international platform. The Ukrainian pavilion showcased the country’s export potential in poultry eggs, animal feed, sunflower oil, flour, and dairy products. The exhibition was attended by more than 100 delegations from African countries.
“We operate in the niche of exporting food products to African markets and the Middle East. We export eggs, poultry, compound feed, and other goods. Our goal is to expand our export geography and establish new contacts for further cooperation. At the moment, we export to about 15 countries in the region. We have already collected many promising contacts and expect them to grow into real contracts. We aim to increase supply volumes and expand the number of partner countries in our portfolio. The African market has significant potential, driven by population growth and rising food consumption.
Our segment continued to operate even during the pandemic — unlike the tourism industry, which is highly sensitive to restrictions. Moreover, we have never received complaints about the quality of our products. Customers are always satisfied. Ukrainian products may not be the cheapest in the world, but the balance between quality and price works in our favor,” said Oleh Vityk, Managing Partner of EFI Agro.
The Ukrainian stand was organized by the Council of Exporters and Investors under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, with the support of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul and the International Business Cooperation Center of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. According to Ukrinform, Roman Nedilskyi, Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul, stated that the MFA of Ukraine plans to continue supporting Ukrainian businesses in promoting domestic goods across African markets.
“This is an excellent international platform for Ukrainian businesses to gain new contacts, build relationships, and explore potential contracts with African partners. During the pandemic, our entrepreneurs did not need to travel to African countries — it was enough to come to Istanbul. Our stand was visited by delegations from Uganda, Kenya, India, the UAE, and others,” said Roman Nedilskyi, Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul.
Enhancing the export potential of Ukrainian food products remains essential for the country’s agricultural and food industry development.
EFI-AGRO (part of the Effective Investments group of companies) began supplying fresh fruits and vegetables to large Ukrainian wholesale companies.
Efi Agro specializes in supplying food products to major trading networks both in Ukraine and abroad. The company currently supplies chicken eggs to Albania.
